Posted by: Johnny Poon on July 3, 2003 11:57 AMIf my application makes use of one form to cater to multiple features,then each feature will have its own fields (this is achieved by putting the hashtable object in the action form class).But here while validating i need to define the validators linked to the fields in validation.xml for all the fields of all the features.
E.G.
field1 belongs to feature1
field2 belongs to feature2
Now if these 2 features make use of UpdateFormBean class,then in my validation.xml i need to put the validators associated to all both field1 and field2.But when i am in featue1, struts should validate only field1 and not field2.
I think for this we can use validwhen validator?
But again, this validator will be called for both the fields?
Any suggestions on this?
